Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit  Issues
I have a new computer with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I am having what at this point appears to be a software issue. When using various programs I would lose the network connection, not permanently but almost what I would call hiccups. Then I would find that the computer would not restart or shutdown. It would get stuck on the screen that says logging out and we would have to do a hard shutdown. The cables are good, the network card has been replaced, the system was completely wiped out and windows 7 reinstalled from a disk and the same issues are happening again. Is anyone else having issues with their networks and Windows 7? My IT guy has never seen anything like this? Thinking it may be an "ultimate" issue with my software, drivers or network or perhaps a 64 bit issue. Would appreciate any help.

Hi, Please try to boot the computer in Safe Mode with Networking and check whether this issue persists. If not, I assume that this issue is caused by the 3rd party software. You may follow the steps in the link below to determine which application cause it. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 Note: when you test this in normal mode, please disable the firewall and the real time protection of anti-virus software Hope this helps. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Check the temp of the processor under health status or hardware monitor (depending which bios you're running) to ensure is within i'ts appropriate range. You might want to try swapping the graphic card as well Like Chou mention, boot into safe mode & see whether the problem persist
